Alice In Chains has released the first two episodes of Black Antenna, a full-length sci-fi film set to the music of the band’s Grammy-nominated album, Rainier Fog. The movie was directed and co-written by genre filmmaker Adam Mason, who has helmed an upcoming episode of Hulu’s horror anthology series Into The Dark as well as a feature film called They Come Knocking for Blumhouse Films. Black Antenna tells the story of two aliens, a father and daughter, who drive their beat-up truck across California in silence, speaking only telepathically. The daughter seduces men along the way so that the pair can steal their electronic devices, which the father uses to build a transmitter and send a message to their home world. Meanwhile, other, darker forces have discovered their existence, and plan to wipe them out before help can arrive. The entire film will be unveiled in eight additional episodes, with each one corresponding to a track on the Rainier Fog album. The first two are named after “The One You Know” and the title song.
