AWOLNation recently completed a lengthy tour with Fall Out Boy and is now spinning off into a headlining trek of its own, The North American jaunt will kick off on June 17th in Louisville, Kentucky, winding down on July 21st in Whites Creek, Tennessee. Support will come from Death From Above on all but two dates — the opener and a June 19th gig in Toronto — as well asIronTom.

AWOLNation toured extensively in the early part of its career and frontman Aaron Bruno told us that all that road work is paying off now: [“We played a lot of places that people don’t go to, you know. We did the hard grind on the first record where we played the smallest cities to the biggest cities and everything in between. And so now, going back through some of those places, it’s so rewarding to see some familiar faces and of course from the seeds that were planted before, watching this thing really blossom now.”] SOUNDCUE (:17 OC: . . . really blossom now.)

  • Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (April 1st).

  • AWOLNation is touring in support of its sophomore album, Run. The latest single from the disc, “Woman Woman,” is Number 16 on the Modern Rock chart.
