Blink-182 has not only officially announced that the band is in the studio working on the follow-up to 2016’s California album, but it turns out that they’ve written a song together with the Chainsmokers. After the latter act revealed on social media that they had written “an amazing song with Blink,” the punk trio’s bassist Mark Hoppus confirmed it, writing, “It’s true . . . We’ve been friends with them for a few years and have tried to collaborate a bunch of different times, but today our schedules aligned and we were all in the same room at the same time.” Blink guitarist Matt Skiba chimed in, writing, “Great day on the job today with my brother Mark Hoppus. #feellikemakinsong #pablohorny.” Where and when the song that Blink and the Chainsmokers came up with will be unveiled remains a secret for now. But it’s no secret that Blink is working on a new LP, with photos recently surfacing on Skiba’s Instagram page showing him and Hoppus in the studio.
