Blink-182 has been forced to cancel a string of shows this month, including an appearance at Chicago’s Riot Fest, due to drummer Travis Barker’s ongoing health issues. The gigs were originally rescheduled from July, when Barker revealed that he was undergoing care for blood clots in his arms as well as two related infections. The band wrote in a statement, “Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups, they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of dates.” Weezer, Run The Jewels and Taking Back Sunday will replace Blink at Riot Fest, which is set for the weekend of September 14th through the 16th, while Social Distortion will take the trio’s place at the Surf Ranch Pros World Surf League this Saturday.
