Blink-182 singer/guitarist Matt Skiba apologized to fans who attended the disastrous Fyre Festival in the Bahamas last weekend, where Blink was supposed to headline but pulled out because of the band’s lack of confidence that the resources would be there for them to deliver a quality performance. The Fyre Festival was advertised as a high-end island getaway and music event with luxury accommodations, food, celebrities and top musical acts. But attendees — who shelled out thousands of dollars to be there — arrived to find that the organizers were completely unprepared, with no housing, lack of food and beverages and not even a basic infrastructure in place. The festival organizers, rapper Ja Rule and his tech partner Billy McFarland, have been slammed with a $100 million lawsuit over the debacle.
