Breaking Benjamin will hit the road this January for a short run of dates as the band continues to promote its 2015 “comeback” album, Dark Before Dawn. The trek will kick off on January 10th in Silver Spring, Maryland, and will conclude two and a half weeks later, on January 28th in Cleveland, Ohio. The band’s itinerary for the month will also include a jaunt aboard the annual ShipRocked cruise from January 16th through the 20th.
Pre-sale tickets for the tour are already available as of Monday (November 28th), with the standard public ticket sales beginning at 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday (December 2nd). Frontman Ben Burnley told us not long ago he’s been thrilled with the response the band has received during this touring cycle: [“The fans have just been absolutely incredible, and the venues that we’ve been playing and all the cities that we’ve gone have just been absolutely warming and welcoming to us and we’re just nothing but grateful as usual, you know. We’re nothing without these amazing people we get to play for, so it’s just an honor to be in their cities and their beautiful states and play some music and have a great night.”]
- Breaking Benjamin ended a six-year hiatus between albums with Dark Before Dawn, which followed 2009’s Dear Agony.
- The band was on ice for a few years while Burnley battled a mystery illness and fought a legal battle against several former members of the group over the band name.
- Burnley reactivated the act in early 2015 with an all-new lineup and himself as the sole original member.
