Cage The Elephant has completed work on the band’s fifth studio LP, which will follow up 2015’s Tell Me I’m Pretty. While the band released a live album of stripped-down performances in 2017, there has not been any hint of new original music in the interim. But that all changed on Monday morning, when the Kentucky act posted on Twitter, “Record done. Mixed. Mastered.” The band has yet to announce further details about the disc, but is already setting up festival appearances for 2019. Tell Me I’m Pretty won the Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Rock Album and featured the chart-topping singles “Mess Around” and “Trouble,” as well as the Top 15 track “Cold Cold Cold.”
