Chevelle is now streaming “Joyride (Omen),” the first single from the band’s upcoming new album The North Corridor. The full disc will be released on July 8th and follows up 2014’s La Gargola. Other songs on the new collection include “Door To Door Cannibals,” “Enemies,” “Rivers,” Last Days,” “Young Wicked,” “Got Burned” and three more.
We asked singer/guitarist Pete Loeffler a while back if coming up with new music got tougher as he got older: [“Absolutely. It’s getting harder. It’s tough to stay fresh. And you know what I found, as I get older, I really need to read as much as possible right before I write. If I don’t do that, I’m kind of struggling.”] SOUNDCUE (:10 OC: . . . kind of struggling.)
- Chevelle has sold more than four million copies of its seven studio albums in the U.S. and scored 13 Top 10 hits at rock radio, including the chart-toppers “Send The Pain Below,” “Vitamin R,” “Face To The Floor” and “Take Out The Gunman.”
- The Chicago trio has a number of festival dates coming up between now and late July, when it will begin a run of shows with Bush on July 23rd in Cincinnati.
