Andy Anderson, an early drummer for the Cure, died yesterday (February 26th) of cancer at age 68. Ultimate Classic Rock reported that Anderson has posted on social media back on February 17th that he was suffering from terminal Stage 4 cancer. Anderson, who was only briefly in the band, also played with Iggy Pop, Peter Gabriel, former Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock among others. The Cure will be inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 29th — Andy Anderson was not listed among the 10 members of the band to be inducted.
