Swedish occult rockers Ghost will release a new EP later this year and will follow it up with a new round of touring featuring a brand new stage show. One of the band’sNameless Ghouls told MetalSucks during a stop on their current spring U.S. tour. “We’re gonna finish up this tour in Albany, which is on May 22nd, and then our European tour starts May 27th. And that stretches into right in the beginning of July . . . After that, we have an EP coming out. That’s gonna be great, because that’s gonna, sort of, re-energize the whole cycle. So there’s gonna be some new material, we’re gonna have a new stage show. So it’s gonna be a completely different setting. Then we’re gonna terrorize you with that up until next year.”
- The Ghoul did not indicate whether the EP would feature new material or cover songs like its 2013 EP If You Have Ghost.
- Ghost won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance this past February at the 58th annual Grammy Awards. Ghost was nominated for the song “Cirice” from its 2015 album Meliora.
- “Cirice” reached the Top 10 at rock radio, the first song from the band to get significant airplay in the U.S. Its latest single, “From The Pinnacle To The Pit,” is currently Number Nine on the chart.
- Ghost’s U.S. tour stops in Atlanta on Friday (May 13th).
