Imagine Dragons has launched a new contest in which the band is asking fans to download raw footage shot during the production of its new video for “Believer” and create their own edits of the clip using Adobe Premiere Pro CC software. The clips will then be uploaded and judged by the director of the “Believer” video, Matt Eastin, along with the band and several Oscar-winning motion picture editors.
- In addition to footage from the “Believer” video shoot, fans will also have access to Adobe’s stock footage library.
- According to CBS Local, the grand prize winner will receive $25,000, with runners-up taking home other valuable prizes for Fan Favorite, Most Unexpected, Best Young Creator, and Best Short Form. The deadline to submit footage is April 8th.
- Imagine Dragons shared the video for “Believer” earlier this month. The clip features lead singer Dan Reynolds preparing to fight actor Dolph Lundgren in a boxing match, among other sequences.
- “Believer” appears on the band’s upcoming third studio album, which Imagine Dragons started recording last September. A title and release date have yet to be revealed. The new disc will follow up 2014’s chart-topping Smoke + Mirrors.
