FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH SINGER IVAN MOODY HAS RELEASED A STATEMENT THANKING THE GROUP’S FANS AND HIS BANDMATES FOR STANDING BY HIM WHILE HE HAS BEEN IN A TREATMENT FACILITY ADDRESSING HIS SUBSTANCE ABUSE ISSUES. IN A MESSAGE POSTED ON ALL OF THE BAND’S SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS, MOODY WROTE, “I WANTED TO WRITE TO ALL OF YOU AND EXPRESS MY DEEP REGRET FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO FINISH THE LAST FEW SHOWS ON OUR EUROPEAN SUMMER TOUR. I AM IN A TREATMENT FACILITY ADDRESSING THE ADDICTION ISSUES THAT HAVE INTERFERED WITH EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND I LOVE MY BAND… IT’S WHAT I DO AND I CAN’T IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT IT. I AM 100% COMMITTED TO GETTING HEALTHY SO I CAN GET BACK ON STAGE WITH FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH.” MOODY ADDED THAT HE WAS “ON TRACK” TO RETURN TO THE BAND ON AUGUST 19TH IN SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS, WHEN THEY BEGIN THE NEXT LEG OF THEIR NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES. HE ALSO THANKED SINGER TOMMY VEXT, WHO FILLED IN FOR HIM ON PART OF THE BAND’S RECENT EUROPEAN TREK, AND HIS BANDMATES FOR SUPPORTING HIM THROUGH THESE HARD TIMES.
