Kid Rock is donating $50,000 — $25,000 each — from his Kid Rock Foundation to the Second Harvest Food Banks of Western Michigan and Middle Tennessee. Rock said in a statement that he wanted to start 2018 on a “positive note,” adding, “I think it is important to help others out, especially this time of year when it is cold and the holidays can be such a strain on some who are really struggling to try to make ends meet. Rock was sued late last month by Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus over his use of the term “Greatest Show On Earth” for his upcoming tour. The lawsuit claims that Rock is infringing on the trademark of the now-dormant circus by using its longtime and well-known slogan. Rock has not commented on the lawsuit, while his website and social media pages are still promoting the jaunt as “The Greatest Show On Earth.” The tour is slated to kick off on January 19th in Nashville.
