Kings Of Leon look like they’re headed for their first-ever Number One album on the Billboard 200 album chart. The band’s seventh studio effort, Walls, is expected to sell around 70,000 copies in its first week on shelves, good enough to put the Southern quartet at the top of the weekly survey when the final numbers are tallied and published on Sunday night (October 23rd).
- Before Walls, Kings Of Leon has gone as high as Number Two. They scored that position twice, in 2010 with Come Around Sundown and again in 2013 with Mechanical Bull.
- The act’s 20009 breakthrough album, Only By the Night — which featured the massive hits “Use Somebody” and “Sex on Fire” — peaked at Number Four.
- Walls features the single “Waste A Moment,” which is currently Number Six on the Modern Rock airplay chart.
- Kings Of Leon recently confirmed a short run of arena tour dates that will begin on January 12th in National Harbor, Maryland, wrapping up in Los Angeles on January 28th.
