Marilyn Manson drummer Gil Sharone has announced that he is leaving Manson’s band. The Los Angeles native joined the group in 2013 and was featured on the singer’s last two records, 2015’s The Pale Emperor and 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. Sharone confirmed his exit from the Manson band in a social media post on Wednesday (March 27th), writing, “After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I’ve decided to leave the band. It’s been one of the highlights of my career but it’s time for me to pursue other current and future projects.” Sharone has also performed with a number of other notable acts, including Tool singer Maynard James Keenan’s Puscifer project, with whom he recorded the V Is For Vagina album.
