Puscifer, the act led by Tool‘s Maynard James Keenan, has released a video for the song “The Arsonist.” The animated clip finds Keenan about to step into the MMA arena for a battle with former UFC champion Ronda Rousey, with gender reassignment surgery in his future if he loses. But the event is disrupted as “Trumpzilla” rips the roof off the venue, forcing Keenan, Puscifer, Rousey and other female UFC fighters to team up in an effort to defeat the beast.

Keenan told us that humor is the best way for him to deal with the current state of U.S. politics: [“Comedy is at my core. What just really drives me is, I can’t leave a joke on the table. If I see it, it’s got to be told. When it comes to this election, it’s not even politics, it’s reality TV and it’s a comedy — a sad, sick (laughs), depressing comedy.”]

  • Keenan said about the clip, “Sometimes you grab the Puscifer. Sometimes the Puscifer grabs you.”
  • “The Arsonist” is taken from Puscifer’s third studio album, Money $hot, which was released in October 2015.
  • Meanwhile, Keenan is about to head out on a book tour tour to promote his new memoir, A Perfect Union of Contrary Things. The tour begins on November 9th in Nashville and will stop in cities like New York, Washington, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco and others.
  • At each stop, Keenan will participate in a moderated discussion, with one of his friends acting as the moderator. Among those participating are Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, A Perfect Circle guitarist Billy Howerdel and more.
