Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale told a Detroit radio station that the band’s next studio album, The Mind Plays Tricks On You, is tentatively due in early 2020. The disc was recently recorded at a Los Angeles studio with film composer Tyler Bates, who has previously worked with Marilyn Manson. Asked about his initial remarks that the album would be out this November, Rossdale explained, “I got in a lot of trouble for November the 1st. And now it’s been moved to the beginning of next year — I think March or April. Which really makes no difference — it’s a couple of months.” Rossdale added that he hopes to release another single before the LP arrives, following the recent track “Bullet Holes” which appeared on the soundtrack of the movie John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Bush is in the midst of a co-headlining tour with Live on which the two bands are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their respective landmark albums Sixteen Stone and Throwing Copper. The trek pulls into Montreal on Thursday.
