Pop Evil has announced a 2017 headlining tour, dubbed the Rock ’N’ Roll Now Tour: Right Now, with support from Red Sun Rising and Badflower. The tour kicks off in Louisville, Kentucky on January 10th and wraps in Detroit on February 24th. Pop Evil continues to hit the road in support of its fourth album, Up,
Frontman Leigh Kakaty said about the trek, “What an exciting time to announce a full headline tour across the states as we launch our final single off Up, “If Only For Now.” It’s no secret, as a ‘rock’ musician this is a very difficult era to survive in . . . We are not taking success for granted and will continue to wave the rock ’n’ roll flag!”
- Up was released in August 2015 and featured the Top Five rock radio hits “Footsteps,” “Take It All” and “Ways To Get High.”
- Kakaty told us that the success of the album and especially the chart-topping “Footsteps” has been inspiring to the group as it looks ahead to record number five: [“To see how big that song is getting, to be a part of something like that, is incredible. I mean, anywhere in the world we play that song, people relate to it and know it and are singing the words. It’s pretty overwhelming, you know, to be able to have tasted that on this record and it’s definitely inspired us to kind of get hungry and keep the writing creativity going, and hopefully this next record we’re able to make it even bigger and better than these last four, actually.”]
