Puddle Of Mudd, Saliva and Tantric will launch “The Resurrection Tour” on August 2nd in Maplewood, Minnesota, winding through the country until the trek comes to an end on September 8th in Kansas City, Missouri. The tour’s name is appropriate as most of the bands on the bill, which will include Soil and The Veer Union on selected dates, are attempting to make comebacks of one sort of another. The most notable is Puddle Of Mudd, whose frontman Wes Scantlin is said to now be six months sober after a period of several years in which he abandoned multiple shows mid-set, got into a standoff with 30 police officers, was arrested for skipping a court date, was arrested for attempting to board a plane with a BB gun and was arrested for trying to vandalize his own foreclosed house. Scantlin reportedly went into rehab earlier this year. Saliva itself has been through numerous personnel changes over the past several years, with singer Josey Scott exiting in 2011, drummer Paul Crosby departing this past March and bassist Brad Stewart leaving last month. Tantric has also gone through multiple upheavals since the band’s heyday, with singer Hugo Ferreira now the only original member in the group.
