Red Hot Chili Peppers played a surprise Halloween show on Wednesday morning (October 31st) at Viewpoint School in Calabasas, California, where drummer Chad Smith’s children attend. Smith wrote on Twitter, “Who rocks out at 9:30 a.m. at my kids’ school? . . . We do!” The band was decked out in makeshift Halloween costumes, with Smith wearing a Guy Fawkes mask and a white wig, bassist Flea donning a skeleton costume, singer Anthony Kiedis wearing a red jacket and mask and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer rocking green hair. The Chili Peppers recently began working on songs for their 12th studio album, which will follow up 2016’s The Getaway.
