• Chevelle collected its fourth Top 10 album on the Billboard 200 album chart this week as its eighth studio effort, The North Corridor, debuted at Number Eight with nearly 33,000 copies sold. It followed the group’s 2014 release, La Gargola, which debuted and peaked at Number Three with 45,000 copies sold in its opening week. (Billboard)
  • Korn has posted a teaser for “Rotting In Vain,” the first video and single from the band’s upcoming 12th studio album. The full clip will arrive online on Friday (July 22nd), while the band previewed the song live this past weekend at the Chicago Open Air festival. Korn’s yet-to-be-titled new album is tentatively due out this fall. The group starts a co-headlining run with Rob Zombie on Tuesday (July 19th) in Englewood, Colorado. (Blabbermouth)
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer revealed in an interview with Canadian radio station CJOT that the band plans to tour North America in early 2017, with Klinghoffer adding, “I know for sure we’re on the east coast in February of next year.” (Alternative Nation)
  • Deftones are the subject of a behind-the-scenes video put together by Factmag.com that features the band preparing to take to the stage for their June 3rd show in London, England. The video, part of a series, also finds frontman Chino Moreno reflecting on the band’s career, as well as their pre-show rituals and more. (The PRP)
  • A new trailer has been unveiled for Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, the new show produced by the History channel starring Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack. The 10-episode series is set to kick off this Sunday (July 24th) at 10:00 p.m. and will feature the duo traveling the world together, exploring the history behind some of the planet’s most storied sites, while checking out some lesser known locations along the way.   • Marilyn Manson announced that his new album will be called Say10 and will be released on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) in 2017. Manson revealed the news during a backstage interview on Monday night (July 18th) at the Alternative Press Music Awards in Columbus, Ohio. The shock rocker’s last disc, The Pale Emperor, came out in January 2015. (The PRP)
