Shinedown bassist Eric Bass revealed in a new interview with Face Culture that the band’s latest LP, Attention Attention, is the first album that he and his bandmates have written sober. The follow-up to 2015’s Threat To Survival touches lyrically upon singer Brent Smith’s former drug addiction and Bass’s depression. Shinedown will embark on a U.S. headlining tour in February. Support on the trek will come from Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria. The band has also announced nine intimate “An Evening With Shinedown” live dates, kicking off on May 6th in New Orleans and closing out on May 22nd in Kansas City. The shows will be similar to the three intimate, year-end gigs the band is doing at the House of Blues in Orlando on December 27th, 28th and 29th.
