Steven Tyler revealed that his debut solo album We’re All Somebody From Somewhere is mixed, mastered, and ready for pressing. The album will be released on July 15th, with Tyler’s latest single — and the album’s title track — dropping on June 24th. Tyler co-produced the solo set with such heavyweights as T Bone Burnett, Dan Huff, Marti Fredriksen, and Jaren Johnston.

In addition to new songs, Tyler’s recent live appearances have included such Aerosmith classics as “Sweet Emotion,” “Cryin’,” “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” “Dream On,” and “Walk This Way.” He’s also been tackling covers of the Beatles‘ “Come Together” and “I’m Down,” Fleetwood Mac‘s “Rattlesnake Shake,” and Janis Joplin‘s “Piece Of My Heart.”

  • We caught up with Steven Tyler and asked him about his first ever full-throttle solo tour: [“It’s called ‘Out On A Limb.’ It kicks off on July 2nd at The Venetian in Vegas. It will be a massive toga party. Everyone will be naked. . .  no. And don’t write that. It’s the most phenomenal band, called Loving Mary that I get to sing with. It’s gonna be all that — plus a whole lot more. We’re just finishing up the record. We just sent the masters to Big Machine (Records) last night, so we’re good to go and we’re launched!”] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . and we’re launched)
  • Aerosmith will next perform on September 16th in Del Mar, California at Kaaboo at Del Mar Racetrack.
