The Pretty Reckless have premiered a new single called “Take Me Down,” which will be featured on the band’s upcoming third album. The yet-to-be-titled studio effort is due out sometime this fall. Singer Taylor Momsen told us not long ago that she’s never sure when the inspiration for a new song is going to strike: [“It’s different every time. There’s no real process or anything. I mean, the writing dictates where the song goes and how it comes together, and my joke is that if I knew where inspiration came from, I’d move there.”] SOUNDCUE (:10 OC: . . . I’d move there.)
- The cover art for the single has also been posted online.
- The new disc will follow up 2014’s Going To Hell, which yielded three Number One rock hits in “Heaven Knows,” “Follow Me Down” and “Messed Up World.”
- The Pretty Reckless became the first female-fronted act to have its first two singles both hit the top spot.
- Taylor Momsen appeared in movies, commercials and TV shows since she was a child, and was best known for her role on the TV show Gossip Girl. But she has not pursued any new acting gigs since The Pretty Reckless took off.

Mark Honermann wrote: “Good voice but sounds like Modern Country style crap. Put her in a good group and then you’d have something.”
