Tool band members are known to be meticulous when it comes to their music and are taking a lot of time between albums. In an interview with Revolver, guitarist Adam Jones said, “I never felt pressure, though. I felt anxiety because they would blame our singer, and it’s not his fault.” He explained that the bandmembers have families and other projects and interests that have been keeping them busy. Jones said that the album is finished and stated: “The writing is the same, and that’s the thing I really like about it. We really suffer for our art — which you should do. If it’s worth having, it’s worth suffering for.” The band’s last album was released in 2006 and the new one, Fear Inoculum will be released on Aug. 30.
