As the official ambassadors of Record Store Day 2016, Metallica performed a special in-store set at Rasputin Music in Berkeley, CA on April 16th.

The band recently released deluxe edition remastered box sets for Kill ‘Em All and Ride the Lightning, and their performance reflects that, with plenty of cuts from both albums.

  • Lead singer James Hetfield thanked Rasputin Music for hosting, saying he and the rest of the band members love record stores: “I’m really glad that there’s places like this still around and still alive, so keep supporting.”

The songs they performed were:

  • “Helpless” (Diamond Head cover)
  • “Hit The Lights”
  • “The Four Horsemen”
  • “Ride The Lightning”
  • “Fade To Black”
  • “Jump In The Fire”
  • “For Whom The Bell Tolls”
  • “Creeping Death”
  • “Metal Militia”
