Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor has blasted so-called Holocaust deniers for spreading false conspiracy theories, saying that their actions are “a travesty to the memory of the survivors and disrespectful to the people who fought for them.” Taylor wrote on Twitter, “I’m gonna say this for the f**kers in the back: JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T BELIEVE SOMETHING IS REAL, THAT DOESN’T MEAN IT ISN’T REAL. Denying things like the Holocaust. slavery, etc is a travesty to the memory of the survivors and disrespectful to the people who fought for them.” Taylor has told us before that he’s not afraid to speak his mind on topics that make him angry. It’s not clear what incited Taylor’s outburst, although he may be referring to the lead singer of the band Tau Cross, who were dropped by their record label last week and parted ways with the singer after it was discovered he had thanked a Holocaust denying author in the liner notes of the band’s new LP. Taylor and Slipknot will release their sixth studio LP, titled We Are Not Your Kind, on August 9th. The band will kick off its “Knotfest Roadshow” North American tour on July 26th in Mountain View, California, with support from Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth.
